EVS in mednarodne izmenjave

Sem zelo hvaležen in ponosen na to obdobje, ker so mi omenjene izkušnje bile glavni razlog nadgradnji svoje karierne poti v Sloveniji.

2011/2012 Martijn Dijkhuizen (Nizozemska):

2015/2016 Leticia Garcia (Španija): "Time really flies when you're having fun and you're doing something you like. The 11 months that I have been in Slovenia have been amazing. Thank you Skala Salesianum for giving me the opportunity to live this unforgettable experience and thanks to all the children and families for all the affection and for sharing with me as many great moments. Undoubtedly, I couldn’t have chosen better country and better project to live this experience. Hvala lepa vsem!"

2017/2018 Victor Audras (Francija): My EVS with Skala was not “classical », because I quitted the project after one month. The reason I left is, I think, really personal. Quite fast I realized that I was actually not looking for this experience, for the moment. Working with the kids is for me too difficult because I am not self-confident enough. But even if there are some moments the kids are a bit tough; they are, as I saw them, deep in themselves very nice and happy to be with us. I was touched to see their reaction when they knew that I will leave. I am sorry for them, that I probably hurt them.I also realized that the kids are really involved in the projects, for example with Fuskabo, they practice a lot, and I find it nice for them that they have this time, this “tool”, to meet together, and also to tell about their stories, like in the show about migrants with Fuskabo. Some of the kids can speak very well English, and it was helpful for me to communicate, but some others almost don’t speak at all, so the EVS volunteer could be someone to help, a way less formal than school to learn English. I would also like to say that Skala team was very nice and respectful with my choice to leave. And they did all what they could to try to fix the problem. Thank you. Finally, you have to know that I don’t regret that I left, because I was not feeling able to stay. But I also would like you to know that I don’t regret that I tried, and that I discovered Skala, the team, the kids, Slovenia, other volunteers… it was something new, and it is in my opinion necessary to face ourselves with other ways to do, other people. And I had some good moments, some good memories.

Thank you for that time.
